A Commitment to Excellence
Our History in Oncology
Dr. Hamdy A. Azim, MD
Chairman and Founder of Cairo Cure

Cairo Cure was founded in 1992 by Prof. Hamdy A. Azim,
a professor of clinical oncology at Cairo University, who is a
renowned expert in the field of oncology in the Middle East
region.
Cairo Cure was founded with the aim to develop it as a leading private oncology facility in Egypt and the Middle East. Dr. Azim had a vision of attracting the top talents in the field of medical and radiation oncology, to work together as a team to deliver a unique oncology service under the same roof.
Since the early 2000s, Cairo Cure is considered to be one of the biggest private oncology centers in the Middle East region. It has served as a strong platform to bring forward oncologists that evolve to become experts in the field, not only on the local but also at the international level.
Thanks to the high quality of medical care offered by Cairo Cure and its scientific leadership, Cairo Cure has participated in numerous international clinical trials that led to the approval of novel anticancer agents that are currently widely used in clinical practice. This allowed Cairo Cure patients to be offered novel agents well before their availability on the Egyptian market, and at no cost to the patient.
